Not a bad park for just an overnight stay. Easy access on and off I-35. Lots of tall trees, so, satellite service will be an issue at some sites. Nice folks to deal with. I came in after closing time and just hooked up to the site of my choice and paid the next morning. Can't ask for more accommodations than that. No swimming pool; no Wi-Fi except at the office. But, not over priced.
Mickey Mouse policies with gestapo-like tactics best describes this park. I echo much of what has already been said. A gate policy that borders on ridiculous with a gate anybody can open, yet campers are required to open and close the gate themselves as they leave the park. No cable TV; no Wi-Fi at your camper; just in the office. Lots of nice trees true, but forget about getting any satellite service. And, when they say get a pass for visitors, they mean it. A couple showed up to meet us for dinner and our motorhome was parked right next to the gate. Did they still need a pass to get in? Yup. And when I made it an issue, I was told by the owner of the campground that if I didn't like the policy, I could hitch up my rig and leave right now. How's that for an attitude? We won't be back.
Would I stay here a week? Definitely not. But, for a one night stand close to I-35, it's not bad. Real friendly folks. Didn't hear all the noise other folks did; maybe we were just tired. If you're just looking for a place to plug in and pull out, this is your spot.
Our favorite campground in Fredericksburg. Quiet; nice folks to deal with; very reasonable rates. Next to an airport, but, we heard no planes fly at night. Large tree grove in part of the park likely to affect satellite reception. Highly recommend.
The Cadillac of RV Parks. Easy off-an-on of Interstate 10; great swimming pools (2); nice, nice folks to deal with. Lots of pull-throughs; always a well-attended park. Highly recommend.
Our favorite campground in Central Texas. USED to be the best kept secret around. No longer. Popularity has gone WAY up; their prices have, too. But, if you insist on the best, this is it.
We LOVE this park. Right on the shores of Lake Conroe, with beautiful trees. Nice swimming pool; boat launch area. If you stay a month in one of the lake shore sites, gets kinda pricey. But, well worth it; this place is GORGEOUS.
